WHAT IS TELEHEALTH PSYCHIATRY?
Telehealth psychiatry (THP) combines modern medicine with digital age. Aqua Psychiatry utilizes a secure connection that allows both patient and caregiver to connect via phone or video chat. Telepsychiatry allows caregivers to render a number of services such as psychiatric assessments, medication management, supportive counseling, diagnostic tests, education, and more. All services are rendered by licensed mental health professionals.
Typically, patients will connect with their caregiver via a secured video-chat. This creates interactions that are as close to “in person” as possible, allowing you to connect with and trust your caregiver. All that is needed is an internet connection, a computer with a microphone, and webcam. During your visit, your caregiver will go through all of the necessary procedures that they would if you had met in person.
